We are recruiting to fill the position of:Background - Finance DepartmentThe Finance Department partners with country and global leadership to ensure profitable growth as we accomplish  our mission. We provide strategic partnership and actionable feedback on our financial performance. We are continually focused on judicious use of resources whether for each one of our territories or for the entire company. Across our rapidly scaling multi-unit enterprise, we provide leadership to build a world-class financial organization. This includes the design and development of financial systems, policies, procedures (taking into account current and fast growing high volume transactions, teams, numbers of geographically distributed business units) and provision of shared services for financial operations by a centralized team specializing in Accounting, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Treasury and Financial Planning & Analysis.About the RoleThe Officer Finance holds an  important finance & administrative function of finance business unit at NewGlobe. This position is responsible for booking and vetting vendor invoices, End of Month review, monthly tax filing and acting as finance business support.The Officer, Finance will report directly to the Senior Officer, Finance.What You Will DoPosting of transactions on Navision (daily expenses, Payable, receivables & and advance payments made to suppliers)Filings of tax return and remit all relevant taxes (PAYE, WHT and VAT) to the respective authorityRecognition of monthly revenue as per partnership invoices and fees collectionsAdvise share service team on the relevant account codes for proper posting of transactionReconciliation of bank statementsTrack every deposit including pupils sponsorshipAct as a finance support officer for internal & external stakeholdersYou Will Also:Execute financial and non-financial key performance indicators and the appropriate reporting to assess financial and operational performance across the region. Ensure that systems and controls are in place to minimize and mitigate risk of fraud/leakage are strictly adhered to Support business expansion strategies.Manage the external audit process for financial statements; ensure that the Company is in compliance with internal policies and relevant regulations. What You Should HaveAt least 2 - 4 years of experience within the finance unit of a medium size organization.Degree in a Business / Finance related field - e.g. Accounting. Strong background in financial management with a thorough understanding of financial regulations.Experience interacting with regulators and banks Success operating in environments with high risk of fraud and leakage, particularly in emerging markets.You’re Also:A detailed doer - You have a track record of getting things done.
