About the Role:
We are looking for sales and business development professionals to build relationships with the top agencies and brands in the consumer marketing space. The sales reps should have deep understanding of digital media, content strategy, advertising, social media, branded entertainment and strong relationships with brands and agencies. As Hypebuzz is focused on the key social media platforms, it will be key for the sales reps to be very familiar with all platforms and have deep knowledge on one of the major four (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat). The sellers should be comfortable speaking to key stakeholders at brands, media agencies, creative agencies, social media agencies and PR firms.
 

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Economics, or Business preferred.
  • 1-3 Years Experience of Sales Experience, Account Management, or other relevant experience at a Media Company
  • Experience at agencies preferred
  • Experience selling into Fashion/Beauty/Lifestyle brands preferred
  • Creative individual with strong understanding of video marketing and the social media space.
  • Tech savvy
  • Solid analytical and strategic capabilities and business acumen along with demonstrated work ethic, integrity, and professional conduct and appearance.
  • Able to produce and present clear, concise, and professionally written communications and proposals
  • Team Player who is not afraid to be wrong or make mistakes, eager to learn and grow.

 

Job Description:

  • Develop deep pipeline of accounts by building new business on top of your already existing agency and brand relationships
  • Identify and prioritize targets based on different levels of pipeline status to balance your workload and maximize success
  • Partner with the rest of the team to develop strategies that lead to successful and repeatable programs
  • Effectively communicate our position in the marketplace and have a deep understanding of competitive programs, companies and where spending is being allocated
  • Be able to problem-solve to knock down roadblocks
  • Continue to educate yourself on the past, present and future of online video programs, social media strategy, advertising tools and innovative products
  • Be considered a thought leader in digital media and social media video advertising among your peers and clients
