Indoor Sales Manager at Fanmilk Plc

Fan Milk PLC was founded in 1963 by Danish merchant and industrialist Erik Emborg with a recombination-plant at Ibadan, a distribution centre in Lagos and less than 30 employees.

The plant produced fresh milk from imported milk powder. Initially, the product range was white milk, chocolate milk, cottage cheese and set yoghurt. The main outlet was bicycle vendors supplied with cold products from a growing number of smaller depots.In 1970s Fan Milk introduced yoghurt drink, ice lollies, ice cream and new Tetra Pak packaging technology. The new products became very popular in the market and generated the financial strength to set up further depots and, in 1981, a second recombination plant in Kano.

  • Good knowledge of the FMCG market.

  • Negotiation Skills

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Accountable for achieving the designated sales budget for assigned area of coverage
  • Accountable for ensuring that customer master data for all customers within his/hers portfolio is updated regularly
  • Interact with indoor customers to ensure organic growth of sales per sales point for all Fan Milk products
  • Accountable for identification and signing on of new franchise takers in agreed vacant locations based on approved FT development plans
  • Supervises and provides day-to-day support to franchise takers including (but not limited to): Close monitoring of FT performance and recommendations to management,Attends to request for new sales equipment,Monitors sales performance of all indoor sales points,Monitors and reports equipment failure/break-down to Service Team,Identify new retail outlets for deployment of sales points and supply by the FT
  • Manage Direct Retail Scheme (RSR) in area of coverage (were applicable)
  • Supports Marketing department in capturing marketing information and market data regarding Fan Milk and competitors performance
  • Coaching of Retail Sales Representatives to ensure effective delivery of QDVPPP (were applicable)
  • Accountable for the performance of Retail Sales Representatives in assigned area of coverage (were applicable)
  • Act as point of liaison between Fan Milk and customers
  • Supports Marketing department in planning for and execution of marketing campaigns
