Job Vacancy For Chief Finance Officer at Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria

The Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA), was originally founded in England in October 1891 and was known as the Institute of Secretaries. In 1902 it was granted its Royal Charter and became the Chartered Institute of Secretaries. The name has since been changed to the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators to more fully describe the status and capabilities of the members. 



  • Must have a degree in Accountancy,Economics or Business Management
  • Must be a member of a Professional Accounting body recognized by an Act of the National Assembly
  • Must have at least 10 years relevant working experience with the last 3 years in a Management position
  • Should be conversant with sage line 50 and excel accounting software

  • Capacity to make quick but rational decisions
  • Potential to lead and motivate others


Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for providing financial advice and support to Council and the Secretariat
  • Monitoring and interpreting financial statement and producing forecasts
  • Participating in formulating strategic and long-term business plans
  • Developing financial management mechanisms that minimize financial risk
  • Conducting reviews and evaluation for cost reduction opportunities
  • Developing external relationship with appropiate contacts eg auditors, bankers and statutory organisations such as tax authorities
  • Producing accurate financial reports in a timely manner
  • Managing budgets
  • Keeping abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislations
  • Responsible for the custody of the Institute's financial documents including cheque books
  • Preparation of interim/monthly/quaterly/annual management and statutory financial statements
  • Fixed assests Administration
  • Tax Management
  • Pension Management
  • Performs any other duties as maybe b assigned by the Registrar/CEO or the council
